To once again enable people to visit the island comfortably, organizations belonging to the Ishinomaki Disaster Recovery Assistance Council gathered to implement the “Kinkasan Support Project” between December 19 and 23.

As of October 11, all evacuation centres of Ishinomaki have been closed. Peace Boat plans to continue supporting the local community such as through provision of newspapers to temporary housing.
