Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) has caused severe loss of life and extensive damage in the Philippines in recent days. Peace Boat Disaster Relief Volunteer Center (PBV) is dispatching an advanced team to the affected areas to conduct an initial assessment and to strengthen ties with local Non-Governmental Organisations in the aim of delivering effective assistance to those in need.
